An Ecological Reckoning (in Clay)
This project is done through a collaboration with Students at UCL, Bartlett School of Architecture, Unit17.
Facilitated by: Yeoryia Manolopoulou & Thomas Parker
Developed during a residency at Grymsdyke Farm, the project explores the site-specific intersection of ceramic craft, local ecology, and experimental firing methodologies. Using a variation of the saggar firing process, where ceramic work is enclosed to trap localised atmospheres, this body of work directly embeds the surrounding landscape into the physical surface of the clay.
