‘In absentia: A Trace of Vernacular’ is a reconstructed earthen landscape, dug, processed and rammed, formed to resist the colonial narratives of space making.
Material behaviour and a sense of ‘unfinished’ give rise to practices of care. To harmoniously exist with this being, is to lay the ground for principles of Ethics. To mute this continual decay, the principles of Alterity are born again.
